The Black Book will be a 5-step consultation design service, that we are creating, to assists DIY’ers to achieve an interior/exterior design goal. We will walk you through our signature framework to guide you through your projects step-by-step. From start to finish we will provide you with guidance and tips along the way, empowering you throughout the entire process!

01 / BRAINSTORM

GETTING ALL THE IDEAS OUT

During phase one of the Black Book Design process, you’ll sit down with Berlene and discuss all the intentions and details for your project.
She will BRAINSTORM with you and dream up a variety of possibilities so you can finalize all the ideas and arrange them in an organized layout.

02 / BREAKDOWN

ORGANIzing YOUR PLANS

During phase two of the Black Book Design process, Berlene will come to your location to take measurements, map out a plan and talk about a variety of possible options. We will use the details from step one to create an elaborate to-do-list for your projects. Interior/Exterior design can be daunting and overwhelming, but with a solid outline you’ll feel reassured knowing exactly what to do next.

03 / BOARDS

CREATING MOOD BOARDS

During phase three of the Black Book Design process, you’ll work with Berlene to create mood BOARDS that reflect your personal style and use it for inspiration during your project. This is key for you to visualize what we discussed from phase 2 and keeping you true to your vision as you make decisions moving forward.

04 / BUDGET

Monitoring YOUR PROJECT FINANCES

During phase four of the Black Book process, Berlene will help you create a shopping list of materials while considering a variety of options and prioritizing budgetary concerns. Managing your expenses is the best way to keep stress levels down and helps push the project to completion. A benefit of having an experienced DIY’er assist you with this phase is the intel and tips on where to get the best deals for materials.

05 / BUILDS

build it yourself workshops

During phase five of the Black Book process, Berlene will be available to consult you with your project builds. You will have the opportunity to bring your projects to a workshop space to have access to an ample amount of tools or we can come to you with a limited selection of tools to help you get the job done!
